Interestingly in 1966 police raided a Center city Philadelphia resturant and arrested:

100% part of that clan. Capodecina Frank Castellana was married to a Masotto, maybe the aunt of the Masottos who were made. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a deeper relation too given this clan marries so many blood relatives. The Masottos lived in central Palermo before coming to the US.

Talking about the content itself, Masotto seems to be important during this time. Later the PA Crime Commission called him a "lieutenant" in the Gambinos. I've wondered if he was acting for the Castellano crew when Paul was promoted to acting boss.

Gambino member. He may have been acting skipper for Paul Castellano at some point when he was acting boss. He was in Castellano´s (and later) in Gaggi´s crew. The Massottos go several generations back as made members.
