I remember working for Lou somewhere around 1986ish. I was a waiter at his club, Scandals. I'll never forget that place. The basement was where the staff would relax or get ready for working the tables. An enormous big screen TV was always on. Couches and a private room off the back. The chef at the time, Ralph, had recently been released from a bid. He was a 5 star chef, we ate like royalty every night. The state, of course, refused to grant his liquor license so we would always be running across the street in our tuxedos to purchase whatever liquor the customers wanted and they would just appear as if they brought it in with them.
One night I remember a table of important looking men and their ladies were having dinner. The one woman had a dish with a half of a lemon wrapped in cheese cloth on the edge of the plate. When I removed the plate, the lemon flopped off the edge. I could swear that fuckin lemon was in slow-mo as my heart dropped into my balls when it bounced off her boob zone, hit her bright yellow dress and left blood red skid marks right down dress and then to her beautiful stockinged leg and landed on the floor. Everyone saw, even Louie, who had the hostess usher the woman into the ladies room with a glass of club soda to help clean her once perfect dress. Oy vey I nearly had a heart attack. Lou was serious while they were still there, but once everyone left he busted my balls pretty good lol. I remember Lou as a great guy, funny/great sense of humor, fair and payed people very well...and arms the size of Lou Ferrigno. He had to have custom tailored shirts and jackets made for him because of his arms and chest size. When I first saw his BOP pics I couldn't believe it was him, but he was smiling in the photo I saw, which is unusual for a BOP inmate photo, which helped me recognize his face.
That was the last job I had before I embarked on my wonderful, illustrious career as a sanitation engineer/owner. I should've stayed in the restaurant business!!
