Long time member of Real Deal and now this forum.....I very rarely post....however, there are some interesting FBI documents on Mary Ferrell site from 1970s regarding Bill Cutolo I though might be worth posting about....a lot has been posted on Cutolo but I have not seen much about his early days,,,,.documents from the 1970s show he was closely assoicated with Whitey Troipiano...seems this is who he probabl got his start with.....documents seem to show Cutolo was be pretty serious gangster by the mid-1970s, when he still would have been fairly young.....the subject of the documents seem to show that he had a relationship with a corrupt FBI agent named Jospeh Stabile....Stabile seems to be a source of information on investigations for Cutolo and Troipiano....some of the documents are summaries of interviews of Cutolo himself, Troipiano himself, Charles Panerella by the FBI investigating whether Stabile had in fact been corrupted....also seems Cutolo did some business with Scarpa and was involved in the murder of another associate named James Nagi....anyway, found it was interesting, as I have not seen much discussed about Cutolo background before the 1980s....sorry if what I wrote is just a rehash of information already posted.
