Is he still a captain in Florida? He must be out by now

He's been out for a while now. Last I heard he was up here in NY, but he's also got a place down in Fla so goes back and forth.

So yeah there are so many unsolved that we will never know
They used dental records back then with a lot of success, and if fingerprints were still readable that would do the trick
Most of them don't have prints. They are just shot corpses that the cops found or were buried to this day.

When you remove hi res omnipresent surveillance and the fact we appreciate carry a device that logs our every move and our every convo it becomes really easy to kill people.

Up until 2000 or late 90s they just needed to be able to leave the scene and not be caught there.

In the golden era of mob mayhem from the late 70s to the early 90s there's gotta be many many unsolved or semi solved but uncharged bodies in NYC especially.

Unless there's an untested DNA sample ala Mikey Cigars or some crazy media attention like the three capos no one cares about them.

It takes a movie on the dead guys to prompt a reopening.

Arresting people for selling drugs is a zillion times easier and they get to keep the money.

Absent the public caring the rest of it is hard work and falls by the wayside of easy wiretap cases and revenue collection.

My feeling has always been the Feds were obsessed with convicting Gotti. I really don’t think that after that they gave a shit about who was involved. Gravano gave up the names on the Castellano hit. They could have indicted but didn’t.

. I don’t think so. I’ve always heard Willie Boy Johnson was the one who killed Plate on orders from Gotti. Now it’s possible Gotti,Angelo, Carneglia assisted but I don’t know.

Vinny Artuso had a great pastry shop on Arthur Ave in the Bronx years ago. I haven't been there in 30 years - is he or his family still running it?

Those guys would say nothing and wind up taking a contempt charge, maybe do some time. In the end, they probably wouldn't have enough to indict, never mind convict.
Artuso was another guy who was never charged. I wonder if his gun jamming and his not firing was a cause of him never being charged, although they would certainly have enough for conspiracy.
Who knows.
yup. he out yet from the Palm Beach county case?

True. Gravano’s days as a witness are over. If he was ever brought to the witness stand defense lawyers would rip him apart.
