My point is, I doubt the Bonannos are more "active" than the rest of New York's Four. The only difference, in my humble opinion, is that the Bonannos have faced far more law enforcement scrutiny in recent years due to a high-risk power struggle that saw increased federal heat, and various turncoats including a captain and two soldiers, all of whom were actively informing while on the streets. If the rest of the families had that going on, we would have a lot more insight on the family's administrations. The Luke's had John Pennisi who, alone, was able to spell out exactly what was going on in the family, and the Gambinos appear to be under some sort of FBI pressure with the recent cross-country arrests and how quickly their administration change (the promotion of Paradiso) spread. The Genoveses and Colombos may be under far less pressure, but I have serious doubts that this is a result of a lack of activity or recruitment issues.

It’ll be interesting to see who the Colombo’s have recruited in recent years. They always seemed to have recruited tough guys/killers.

I would hope, For the Colombos sake that they turned a corner somewhat and whoever they're inducting are more in tune with earning and learning instead of inducting tough guy killers and knuckleheads dopes prone to violence
