one slaying. For the next, prosecutors in Tommy Gioeli's case opted
not to seek the death penalty for a man charged with ordering
six murders, including a cop. Go figure.

Both men who were convicted of orchestrating the February 2001 murder of Miami Subs founder Gus Boulis will face new juries in a bid to win their freedom, the Florida Supreme Court affirmed this week.
The Fourth District Court of Appeal ordered retrials for Anthony “Big Tony” Moscatiello and Anthony “Little Tony” Ferrari last year after finding that the jury was unfairly allowed to hear testimony from a witness who claimed the triggerman confessed to the crime. The triggerman, according to the witness, claimed to be hired by Moscatiello.
