The Mob Family should have been obligated to pay some of the legal expense AND help the Wife of the imprisoned made guy each month financially. It should have only applied to made guys, not associates. There should have been some kind of plan set up from the beginning. A soldier should have gotten some financial help from his Capo AND from the Administration. A Capo should have gotten some financial help from the Administration. Having all the legal expense paid for by the soldier AND not helping his Wife after he goes to prison is selfish bullshit. Loyalty does go both ways.

A specialized loan/ book operation would do it.....

What ever profits are made.... you bank a portion and reinvest it.... so it's always growing....

I think plea deals would factor in too, to save on heavy lawyer fees... if it's a bullshit charge like gambling or some white collar stuff....

Then again, the mob's rapid downfall in the 80s and 90s might've saved them from complete destruction too. If they would've been harder to break the feds would've stepped up their efforts and continue to pursue them despite 9/11 and the squads would probably not have been downsized after reaching a status quo.

If terrorism eventually becomes of less importance (which it probably never will because the government loves having this enemy) I doubt the feds would pick up on where they left concerning their fight against the mob.
