One comment re: your North Suburbs map. Those areas are still in the City limits. Are you planning on extending into the north suburb towns (e.g. Highwood, Deerfield, Evanston, etc)?
I'll be going at least as far north as Niles. For anything further north, although I haven't decided for sure, I am planning on taking a broader, less detailed look. Same goes for McHenry, Lake, DuPage, and Will Counties, as well as NW Indiana. In other words, the fringes of Outfit control.

Sounds great! I've been looking forward to your project!

His daughter did live there, I'm not sure if she still does. LaPietra moved into the Bridgeport house in 1977.

This is Angelo "The Hook" LaPietra Home as it is today. I am by here everyday. I took this picture myself.

A relative of his lives there now.

All the other top level Bosses from the 1960's and 70's all lived in the Suburbs well before the 1980's. As far as Mob operations, It does seem like there was more of a shift towards the suburbs during the 1980's. Either that, or the Outfit simply started losing power slowly during the 1980's because the 1990's was a disaster for them.
Yes, I should have mentioned that most of the bosses did move to the suburbs prior to the seventies. It was just bad wording on my part that made it sound otherwise. What I intended was for people to see that most of the top guys (not just the bosses) and the majority of Outfit operations had been relocated to the suburbs by the late eighties.

Just as a random aside, Angelo LaPietra was actually an example of a guy who moved back into the city, as I believe he lived in Cicero prior to building his fortress in the Bridgeport neighborhood.
I'm sure you found this to be true, but it seemed as though River Forest, Oak Park, Elmwood Park & Melrose Park seemed to be the popular spots in which to reside for many of the Top Outfit Guys in the West during the 1970's.
River Forest: Ricca, Accardo, Blasi, English
Oak Park: Giancana, Battaglia, Spilotro (before he went to Las Vegas)
Elmwood Park: Cerone, Gagliano, Messino
Melrose Park: Auippa, Nicoletti
Guys up North like Dominic DiBella lived in Glenview and Joey DiVarco live in Lincolnwood which I believe are North Suburbs.
Cicero was probably also much nicer during the 1970's so it would make sense that Angelo LaPietra lived there before he went back in the City. Do you know when he moved back into the City?

Thanks, FoF. Were you around Chicago in the 1970s?
During the 1970's My association with Chicago was limited - mostly telephone calls setup through the Cleveland/Akron Group, when I needed some things from Chicago, like for example: Remote Car Starters and other things...

Question: Does each "peg" have a certain radius? For example does it cover four square blocks, half a mile or is it just noting that particular area?
Sometimes a specific block, sometimes a specific location. I will have more details in the final draft.
