I only know about two of his paesani, which he killed with knife, when he was young to be a member, according to Magaddino

These are the hits that happened under his tenure that I know about:

1945- Peter LaTempa - associate

1946- Joseph Scottoriggio - politician

1947- Bugsy Siegel - associate

1951- Willie Moretti - member

1951- William Cardinale - member

1952- Salvatore Moretti - member (possibly nat. causes)

1952- Paul Caravello - member

1953- Steve Franse - associate

--------

A "Little Harry" who was Jewish was killed by Richie Boiardo but Costello didn't know until after the murder.

Boiardo also killed some people but it's doubtful that Costello even knew about these murders. Also, it's unclear if they were during his reign:

- 3 guys for Tommy Lucchese
- Neil Oreander (ph)
- Johnny LNU
- Billy LNU
- Al LNU
- Al's daughter
- A doctor

Scottoriggio was intended to be a beating but the Coppola crew got carried away. It would have been on behalf of the Lucchese Family but obviously there was a mutual interest.

The Moretti murder was also instigated by the LA Family and Tommy Lucchese according to Bomp who took responsibility himself for kickstarting the conspiracy that led to the Commission approving Moretti's death.

Moretti also started being to friendly with law enforcement leading to ppl thinking his brain was going I thought

Moretti autopsy did not show anything with brain damage so it could have been made up

Bomp's story was that Moretti was friendly with a US Treasury agent. The agent ran into Bomp and congratulated him on his recent promotion to capodecina which had only taken place a few days earlier. Somehow Bompensiero and Dragna deduced that Moretti gave the agent this information so they took it to Tommy Lucchese who had the Commission carry out an investigation which determined Moretti was talking too much or giving information.

Valachi gave a different story where Vito Genovese instigated it due to Moretti's conduct at the hearings and overall mental decline but I lean toward Bompensiero since he told the FBI he himself was part of the conspiracy.

Also doesn't have to be either/or. Moretti's death could have been a combination of both his mental decline and conduct at the hearings plus concerns he was talking to LE too freely.

He had a huge slot machine operation in NY (before having to move it down to New Orleans in partnership with Marcello). He also had interests in casinos. As is well known, after he was shot by Gigante, police found a note in Costello's pocket that contained the take from the Tropicana a few days before.
All roads lead to New York.

Interesting and was Moretti going insane when he started talking too freely and was Dragna a member of the Commission?

Willie Moretti was sick with something by the early '40s. As a result, Moretti, his wife, and his bodyguard Arthur Longano went to California.

On June 3rd 1943, he called Frank Costello who asks him how he was doing. His wife told Costello: "Willie is feeling much better now. He was terrible when we first came here". Costello answered: "Tell him to stay away from the telephone. When he talks so much, he gets upset."

On June 8th 1943, Costello spoke to a Tommy LNU who asked how Moretti was feeling. Costello replied: "Oh I will keep out there at least a month more."

[Date Unknown] This was a conversation between Frank Costello (C) and Dr. Paul Sarubbi (S):

S: Say when I saw you I meant to ask you how Willie was getting along. Is he still rambling?

C: You are a doctor. Tell me what you think of this. In the first place, he has stopped talking big and realizes that he has been talking and is sorry. He can't get it into his head just what made him talk.

S: Has he made any bets?

C: No big bets

S: I mean normal bets

C: He's not even making more bets. Does that look like a normal reaction?

S: It appears so to me.

C: Here's what I want you to do. Call him and see what you think of his conversation and let me know. The number is Newhall 31-J, Los Angeles. Make the call around noon and that will be around 9 o'clock their time. Reverse the charges.

S: He is in Los Angeles now?

C: He couldn't get what he wanted in the other place.

When asked about this conversation at the Kefauver committee, Costello explained that Moretti was delirious and had been talking about winning horse bets worth millions.

On June 24th 1943, Salvatore "Solly" Moretti phoned Costello and said: "I spoke to Will and he is very worried about his wife. He took her to a country doctor about the headache and now she feels worse. He wants to come back and take her to a doctor uptown-". Costello interjected: "No good. He can't come back now. Those friends will be on their way out to visit him."

----------------------

Moretti's mental decline had been going on for a while before his execution in 1951, his testimony at the Kefauver committee could have played a part too.

I feel like Syphilis would have been well known by 1943. Either ways, he seems to have been a liability.

Dragna's avugad on the Commission was Tommy Lucchese which is why they took the issue to him.

Here’s a hit that happened under Costello:

Jul 17 1948- Charles “Charlie the Jew” Yanowski was killed by Willie Moretti

It isn’t clear if Costello gave the green light but Moretti didn’t have the necessary approval from Jew Mob.
