West Virginia/Steubenville Area 2023

Post by Tocco686 »

Is there anyone that’s still active in the area WV or Steubenville in 2023. I know there was at one point a lot of Youngstown and Pittsburgh guys. But guys like Tripodi and Quattrone are long gone. There was a heavily connected Sheriff named Abdulla but he since has passed. I have a couple of names and places of guys I believe are or were still in the area as of the last 10 years or so. I would love to hear some info on this. Here’s my list I have. Not sure how accurate it is.

Peter Sanzo
Antonio Ripepi
Dominic Mallamo
Paul Romeo
Mike Romeo
Vincenzo Prato
Tony Aulisio
Dominic Triveri
Tony Zappia
Joe Marzano
Mike Cyrak Serrecchio
Jack Desarro
Tony Milano
Mannarino
Bazzano
WV. Silvio “Birdie” Pinciaro

The Spot Bar in Steubenville I heard was a hangout at one point.

132 N Sixth st. Near market st. Gambling den????
Robert Carducci. Venetian bar.

Nobody around anymore. Mallamo, Romeo brothers, Tony Auliso, Dom Triveri , Jimmy Prato, Dominic Prato and Cyrak were in Youngstown. When Tripodi and Quattrone went into semi-retirement, Joseph and Bruno Tegano (Both Calabrians) were in charge of gambling. Once they died off, not much going on. West Virginia was over after the conviction of Paul Hankish and Jimmy Griffin. Jackie DeSarro was partners in the numbers business with Cyrak and his son Joey. Pinciaro was finished in the 1980's. Tony Zappia was my grandfather's brother.

These files are very informative on Steubenville. Should keep you busy for a while.

Was Hankish under the Pittsburgh family or was he independent?
