Revisiting Detroit (genealogy)
Salvatore Finazzo, B, was born in 1908 in St Louis to Vincenzo Finazzo (Partinico) and Agnes Vitale who I believe may be from Cinisi. He married a Josephine Genna. Josephine was born in 1913 to Salvatore Genna (Mazara del Vallo) whose mother was Giuseppa Asaro, and Marianna LaFata (Balestrati). Mariana LaFata's mother was Rosalia Riccobuono from Bagheria and her grandmother was a Bommarito.
Also, there was another Salvatore Finazzo born in 1918 Detroit who married an Eleanor Asaro whose mother was a D'Angelo. Castellammaresi in Detroit were dwarfed by the other towns along the coast but here's at least one, even if we have no evidence of any involvement.

Edward Guarrella was born 1918 to Salvatore and Serafina Riccobono (both from Capaci). Serafina's parents were Erasmo Riccobono 1866-1939 and Ninfa D'Aleo (1866-1938).

Calogero Licata (1926-2016) was born to Vincenzo Licata and Maria Milazzo (both of Camporeale).
Licata's great great grandfather Baldassarre Licata (1804-1872) came from Sambuca di Sicilia, Agrigento. His grandmother on his mother's side was a Vincenza Rizzuto (Camporeale).

Re: Revisiting Detroit (genealogy)
There was a Detroit member listed as Joseph Maceri in 1963 as a member and I have no info on him. The closest one I can find was born in 1883 and died in 1942. If memory recalls, I thought he was linked to Ohio (not CL) early on?

Wasn't there an Erasmo Riccobono who was part of the 12th Street or 39th Street, New York, group?Chris Christie wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 6:33 am Edward Guarrella was born 1918 to Salvatore and Serafina Riccobono (both from Capaci). 1963 has an Anthony Munaco as a member.
There's an Anthony Munaco born in Detroit on 2/3/1929 who died on 12/12/2010. His mother was Petrina Zerilli (Terrasini)
There's his father Antonio Lomonico born in Cinisi 10/12/1897 who died 3/8/1976.
HIS father was Antonino Lomonaco born in Vicari on 11/23/1837 and died 2/23/1927. He arrived 5/18/1888 in New Orleans and in 1900 he showed up in the Chicago Census. In 1910 he was in Benton, MI where he died in 1917.

Good early Gambino-Detroit connection.Antiliar wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 10:31 amErasmo and Ninfa Riccobono, living at 189 First Avenue, Manhattan, in 1910:Chris Christie wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 9:33 amI was thinking the Sangiorgi but couldn't locate the name in there. Speaking of which, remember the Cracchiola surname? There was a Detroit member who later retired to Arizona named Andrea Cracchiola, b 12/13/1914. Are you able to work your magic and see who his parents and wife were?
Re: Revisiting Detroit (genealogy)
His parents were Pietro Cracchiolo and Maria Antonia Evola. His wife was Marie L. (the last name is going to take a bit more time). Her maiden name might be Finney.Chris Christie wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 10:39 amGood early Gambino-Detroit connection.Antiliar wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 10:31 amErasmo and Ninfa Riccobono, living at 189 First Avenue, Manhattan, in 1910:Chris Christie wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 9:33 amI was thinking the Sangiorgi but couldn't locate the name in there. I know who you're referring to and it's the wrong guy. Andrew, who was born 4/26/1914 and died 12/8/1978 in St Louie. He married a Marie L Cracchiola and his father was Pietro Cracchiolo and Maria Antonia Evola.Antiliar wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 10:50 amHis parents were Pietro Cracchiolo and Maria Antonia Evola. This Andrea was born supposedly born on 12/13/1914 in Terrasini and was, I would think, based in Detroit and then retired to AZ by 1963. He died 2/23/2009 in Ontario, San Bernardino, CA.

Re: Revisiting Detroit (genealogy)
The Terrasini-born Cracchiolo was married to Maria Maddalena Di Stefano. Since he died in 2009, would have to purchase a death certificate from Riverside to find out who his parents were.

Re: Revisiting Detroit (genealogy)
Maybe you saw this, but it seems that this guy was a physician at UCLA. Public records index entry for Dr Andrea V Cracchiolo — born 1924/12/14, so the same guy born in Terrasini who died in Ontario, CA in 2009 — resident in Pacific Palisades in 1981. Looks like he divorced his wife Linda in LA in 1981. Probably his second wife after Maria Maddalena. Another record from the 1990s has an Andrea Cracchiolo III, MD at UCLA. While I don’t see any confirmation of his parents, his dad was probably named Andrea too.

Tony Termine born 1906 to Saverio and Vincenza Lo Verde (Polizzi Generosa). One source says he was from Pollizza, Ciciliano on the mainland but I'm trying to confirm. Where was Salvatore Lo Verde of Chicago from?
