awesome find! I think this might be more 70s. I don't see anyone on this chart associated with him when he died in the 80s.

Was Louie Aurrichio a DiGilio crew associate when he killed John?

Are these all associates, and what was DiGilio's rank at this time?

DiGilio was a Soldier. These were his associates.

Some of the newspapers of the time reported him as a Captain but I don't think he ever rose above Soldier.

This is great. Helps to really illustrate how a guy who was a soldier could be “boss” of an entire gang and criminal network.

He went against Genovese leadership and didnt take a plea deal in a case him and several others tied to unions the Westside controlled...he represented himself and was acquitted while the others were convicted...the Genovese lost control of a major union (possibly on the docks) and I think the Gambinos took hold...this and the fact the leadership didnt like the attention from the case brought caused the order for DiGilio to go...

Apparently he wasn’t because he died for the same reason, but I read other reasons as well such as:Wiseguy wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 8:22 amLarry Ricci apparently wasn't a student of history.Shellackhead wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 7:07 amThanks, It makes sense.Browniety86 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 6:57 amHe went against Genovese leadership and didnt take a plea deal in a case him and several others tied to unions the Westside controlled...he represented himself and was acquitted while the others were convicted...the Genovese lost control of a major union (possibly on the docks) and I think the Gambinos took hold...this and the fact the leadership didnt like the attention from the case brought caused the order for DiGilio to go...
Him trying to murder the Philly administration in order to place one of his associates As boss and take over the family, another one was he was trying to take over the Jersey Crew. Don’t know if these are accurate but this was what I read/watched on youtube

I'd say Tino Fuimara played a role in both murders being sanctioned...Shellackhead wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 8:26 amApparently he wasn’t because he died for the same reason, but I read other reasons as well such as:Wiseguy wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 8:22 amLarry Ricci apparently wasn't a student of history.Shellackhead wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 7:07 amThanks, It makes sense.Browniety86 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 6:57 amHe went against Genovese leadership and didnt take a plea deal in a case him and several others tied to unions the Westside controlled...he represented himself and was acquitted while the others were convicted...the Genovese lost control of a major union (possibly on the docks) and I think the Gambinos took hold...this and the fact the leadership didnt like the attention from the case brought caused the order for DiGilio to go...
