Collaboration with non Italian groups
Been reading a lot of the mob and I obviously know about the early collaboration and rivalry with the Jewish and Irish mobs. Then I know Michael Franceze and the Russians with his whole gas scam. But I’m wondering if there was any more instances of them working with other OC groups say Russians,Albanians, Triads and Jamaicans or something in the past or to modern day. I was looking for some about the Russian/LCN collaboration but all I got where some borderline Russophobic articles and posts on Twitter about how they are working hand and hand with the fbi or something
And If any family has more ties to non Italian OC groups than any of the others. Sorry for my rather niche questions

A big one would be the Corsican mafia which would be the French. They've been heavily involved with the mafia with the heroin trade. There's also been Mexican and South American cartels that have supplied them with cocaine over the years.

I am a Macedonian from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Macedonia. Here in my country 25% of population are Albanians.. I am Macedonian, but some of my livelong friends are Albanians and Turks. Albanians who have family members members living in New York and New Jersey told me that Albanian crews mostly work for the Italian crime families in Northeastern United states. Some of them are even bragging that their relatives are with the Gambinos or Genoveses. They told me that Albanians don't really have any big syndicates in the US, just some small crews. From what Albanians told me Albanian crews in USA are not involved in traditional organized crime rackets. They are heavily involved in drugs and mostly work for the Italian crime families in Northeastern United states.Dave65827 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 10:02 pm Been reading a lot of the mob and I obviously know about the early collaboration and rivalry with the Jewish and Irish mobs. The French mob obviously (I talk about it widely page 12 & 16 viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6503). In addition to the various criminal groups in Eastern Europe, I wonder if the London underworld was not also involved with the Italians. The Caruana brothers were established there, and even if they "worked" there with other Sicilians, I wonder if they did not collaborate with local gangsters.

Paul Castellano worked with Jimmy Coonan of the Westies, I believe that at one people Coonan started wearing a pinky ring, like a Don of sorts, which caused his own people to dislike him.
I think they may of even been involved with some real estate deals, or got someone murdered over real estate, I dunno for sure.

The NY families have worked with Russian/Eastern European in some stock frauds at times. Obviously they've employed Albanians for strongarm work.Dave65827 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 10:02 pm Been reading a lot of the mob and I obviously know about the early collaboration and rivalry with the Jewish and Irish mobs. Some say Serbian criminals/veterans from the 90s/early 2000s conflicts are still used as professional hitmen by many international crime syndicates including the Italian Mafia.

Most Greek Bookmaking operations to this day kick up to the mob still.

Re: Collaboration with non Italian groups
The Chinatown crew in Chicago worked with the On Leong (Tong association) in gambling. In the 80s the Chicago On Leong even reached out to Pittsburgh LCN to help them settle an issue with the Outfit. The Outfit also had a number of Puerto Rican operatives for the Bolita racket, though it's unclear to me if this reflected any underlying organized network with connections back to PR (my instinct is that this was possible, as the Outfit also had gambling operations in PR in the 60s). The Outfit had some significant links to black OC groups that operated semi-autonomously in the black neighborhoods as well. While some sources from back in the day refer to a Greek "mob" in Chicago under the control of Gus Alex, this wasn't an autonomous organization so far as I can tell, but rather completely under the Outfit's thumb (so belonging to the wider Chicago "syndicate" controlled by Chicago LCN), as were the Jewish gangsters from the 40s on.

Yeah, if we want to go way back there are many examples of the mob working with blacks and Hispanics in drugs, gambling, etc.

Watch this video. Retired FBI agent Joaquín "Jack" García explains how Gambino crime family used Albanians to extort strip clubs in early 2000s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbTekirToO0
