Post by TommyGambino »

With Vernace not coming home who do you think will be consig? John Gambino? Maninno?

I think you can put money on it being a Sicilian. No chance of Megale, he'll go pack to being a capo in Conneticut imo.

If the last two are any indication it will probably be somebody nobody expects.

Why was Vernace a surprise? He was a capo close to Cefalu.

I just don't think his name would have been one that would have come up if people would have speculated at that time.

And it's not ONLY because he's most comfortable there (forget that he was born in Italy, he came to Stamford as a little kid and he's a Connecticut guy through and through). Or that he's desperately needed up there (he is because they manage to fuck things up every time he goes away). It's also because his release restrictions are FUCKING RIDICULOUS.

They make me laugh when they say there's no such thing as Federal Parole anymore. They may not call it parole. But Tony is 61 years old, and he's gonna have Federal babysitters until he's almost 70. All they want to do is violate these guys. They don't call it life on the installment plan for nothing.

It's fucking shameful when the government selectively enforces supervised release violations, and cherry pick the guys they want to keep sending back. This guy doesn't have a single body on him (legally speaking, and that's all that should matter). Yet they treat him like a violent predicate.

And I'm not sugarcoating the life. If you're in the game and you get caught, you do you the time. But when you're finished doing the time, that should be that. But the Feds don't play fair, and no one is ever gonna convince me any different.

Sicilian guy seems to be a good fit. Someone like Zeke who is out was only paced at the top previously due to Gotti loyalists calling the shots. Those days have been gone for a while.

A panel of consiglieres? Never heard of that but if you mean the family is run by a panel...then I would have to agree with you. I don't believe Cefalu is the absolute boss he might be on the panel but I'm not sure and another thing I don't think they rotate more likely it has 3 permanent guys on it. A family run by panel would still have a consigliere and in this case my money would be on Maninno.

He wasn't saying their was a pair of consigliere's. He was saying it was possible for either one to have the position

I heard John Gambino is very sick and effectively retired.

With the Sicilians in control its likely Juliano, gurino or Maninno.
But Daniel Marino wouldn't surprise me either.

And welcome to the board Tommy

What's wrong with Gambino? His heart again? Is Marino out of prison? He was targeted by the feds the day he walked out of jail last time..

I've heard conflicting stories, from the two most informative posters over at GBB imo. One said he's very sick & the other said he's not too bad. Who knows, he was active a few years back.

Can't see it being Juliano or Gurino, their low key but not exactly heavy guys. Does Marino have any restrictions now he's out? It could be him, he's been a heavyweight for about 30 years.
