CANARSIE-FLATLANDS CREW:
Paul Vario’s crew was huge. Soldiers and associates alike, arguably constituted one of the largest regimes of any Family in Brooklyn, or the city for the matter! Most listed were during his tenure, a few were added after he died.....
-
Below I’ve attempted to compile a list of both inducted men and associates so to speak. So without further ado, here’s Paulie’s “Canarsie crew”!
-
Please feel free to add names that I’ve either forgotten or are not familiar with!

Re: CANARSIE-FLATLANDS CREW:
Nice list Maxie! I think Angelo (The Boxer) DeFendis was with the 19th hole crew.
Re: CANARSIE-FLATLANDS CREW:
Frank Lagano
Paolo D'Anno
Rosario Sacco
Steve De Pasquale (he might have been 19th hole member)
DeFendis was most likely a 19th hole member.

Mike the hammer Dellacagna and his bro were probably with Vario, or 19th hole. Not sure!

Sal Cutaia, Frank Lastorino
Re: CANARSIE-FLATLANDS CREW:
So the history of the Luccheses points to their roots in Manhattan and the Bronx. Any idea as to how this crew started?

Re: CANARSIE-FLATLANDS CREW:
Torrido Curiale was the first Capo I'm not sure if there is any info beyond that as to how the crew was started.
Maxie you can also add Tommy Red, Anthony Grado, Peter Del Cioppo & Joe D'Arco. (These guys didn't serve under Vario)
Then there are guys I'm not sure about like Joey Testa, Patty Testa & Anthony Senter who are Canarsie guys thru and thru but I'm not sure if they were in the Canarsie crew or another Brooklyn crew. Also Blackie Graffagnino? Mike DeSantis? Patty Red?

Re: CANARSIE-FLATLANDS CREW:
To add I think you have to many Vario's on the made list. You have 5 but I think only 3 were actually made Paulie, Rugsy and one of Paulies brothers.
Also I'm not so sure Peter Argentina is made I used to believe he was but I've heard conflicting info. If he is he is with whoever they have running their Florida operations as he moved down there after Carl Lastorino shot him up.

Re: CANARSIE-FLATLANDS CREW:
I love how they talk of younger guys being all drug addicted ,Lots of guys in the mob, Made AND associates were always doing drugs. Not pertaining to the thread ,Just bringing that up because Anthony Grado was a known Junk box that loved his opiate pills and xanax ,Some say he was into the heroin also along with being a
hard core guy and total psycho, Tommy red is also known to like his drugs . I havent seen anything relating the death of Carmine who was stabbed,Killed wrapped in a tarp and thrown in the basin to the pill and script racket Grado had going when those 2 fat bastard twins killed Carmine. Word on the street was Grado enticed the twins to rob Carmine after some unsuccessful extortion/Shake down attempts for money and drugs even though Carmine was working with Grado and red
