Corleone clan

Post by Wiseguy »

I could have sworn this subject came up a while back but couldn't find anything through a search.

Anyway, does anyone have a list of current members of the clan based in Corleone?

Thanks.

the corleone family/mandamento has not anymore the power of the past, it's like the others more or less
according to dia corleone mandamento has about 90 made members divided into 4 families based in the towns of corleone, prizzi, chiusa sclafani and palazzo adriano

scagghiuni, dd you ever see the article that came out in 2015 (link below) that had several maps showing the manamenti/families in Sicily, Calabria, and in and around Naples? The Corleone manamento showed 8 families - Corleone, Godrano, Lercara Friddi, Merineo, Mezzojuso, Palazzo Adriano, Prizzi, and Roccamena.

i think there are mistakes in that map
godrano and mezzojuso have not a family they are under corleone family
lercara friddi family is in the caccamo mandamento
marineo/bolognetta family is in the misilmeri mandamento
roccamena yes, i forgot it, is in the corleone mandamento and there is a family
so there are 5 families in the corleone mandamento (corleone, prizzi, roccamena, chiusa sclafani and palazzlo adriano)

When Antiliar and I were writing the article, we discovered the Morello Family came from Corleone, Mezzojuso, Godrano, Marineo and Lercara Friddi. Some with Bisacquina and Lercara Friddi origins were split between Corleonesi and Palermitani hubs of power. When researching the Palermo Mafia I discovered several Families that splintered into separate groups in 1910 only to become part of the same mandamenti half a century later. These mandamenti were based off of connections that date back a century or more.

Two things:
1 Giuseppe Morello was related to the Lo Bue's, this included one in Chicago and one on the Lower East Side who got into feud with Brooklyn. There is most likely a blood relation between Lo Bue's.
2 Nicola Schiro's mafia contacts came by way of Camporeale which explains why his affiliation was Castellammaresi and not Corleonesi. .

i wonder if giacomo reina is a relative of totò riina, probably the surname is written wrong
anyway the mandamenti were formed over proximity and not blood connections, the mandamento is formed by neighbouring families
