According to Luigi Ronsisvalle he and Felice Puma transported multi kilos of heroine from Canada to Knickerbokker avenue.
He said when they arrived, Puma spoke on the sidewalk whit Sal Catalano....who got more info on Puma, i know he was a associate whit the Bonnanos, but was he whit the sicilians from Knickerbocker avenue...

Re: felice puma
Godson of Carmine Galane. Died 1982.
Re: felice puma
One other person Ronsisvalle mentioned is Francesco Lombardo who was connected to Paolo Gambino and Francesco lived in Chicago. I'm now sure Francesco was from Altavilla Milicia and he was the owner of a certain more famous business where a well know Outfit murder took place. I don't want to post the name of the business in case it is coincidence the people are not connected to the Mafia at all.
Re: felice puma
Puma is a name that goes back many years in the Bonanno and Castellammare families. Francesco Puma was an early member of the Schiro family and one of the "good killers" (which also included a Galante). A good chunk of the members and associates in the Middle Village / Ridgewood / Bushwick area had Castellammare and Trapani roots and some of the zips were from there, so I wouldn't doubt Felice Puma is related to the others from Castellammare. If he was Galante's godson, that's an indication that Puma was born in New York. There is also a Gaspare Puma on JimmyB's Castellammare cosca list that I mentioned in my Bonventre topic, so the name has been active in Sicilian mafia even relatively recently.
No idea if any of them are connected to Florida-based Bonanno soldier Joe Puma, who is mentioned in the Donnie Brasco book, but this is the first time I realized he shares that name, which is quite unique to the Bonannos/CDG.

Re: felice puma
This is his obituary from 1982. In 1979 he was arrested for operating an illegal slot machine in a coffee shop on 349 Knickerbocker ave.

Re: felice puma
I don't know if there is any relation to Felice Puma, but in 1983 Charles Carneglia killed a 18-year old mob associate named Salvatore Puma in fight.

Re: felice puma
Interesting. Salvatore Puma rings a bell. After looking up, I found a Salvatore Puma aka "Big Sam" listed as a Genovese member under Tommy Greco. This Genovese member lived at 221 27th Avenue in Brooklyn and died around 1968/1969. Could be Felice´s father who was married to a Buccellato.
There you have it, never printed before.

There is also a Sam Puma listed as a Bonanno member by the feds at the maryferrell site.HairyKnuckles wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 7:12 amInteresting. Salvatore Puma rings a bell. I’m not familiar with Sicilian customs but Felice Puma was born in 1937 and Galante was in prison until 1939 so Galante wouldn’t have been present at the baptism to be godfather of Puma.

Re: felice puma
Not only was Galante in prison, but it says Puma was born in Italy. Curious which country in South America his brothers live(d) in. Can barely go more than a generation among "known" CDG names without finding a marriage to a Buccellato.Eld wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 8:19 amThere is also a Sam Puma listed as a Bonanno member by the feds at the maryferrell site.HairyKnuckles wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 7:12 amInteresting. The Sal Puma who was killed by Carneglia was identified as a Gambino associate in the indictment. He had allegedly stolen money that was intended for the commissary accounts of two unidentified Gambino associates and the stabbing took place in Howard Beach. Puma was dating Junior Gotti's future wife Kim at the time, pretty crazy to think how close Carneglia would get to Junior in the years to come.
On MF, an older Salvatore Puma shows up as a possible member w/ family affiliation unknown and an address is given for him on Crescent Avenue in Brooklyn very close to Howard Beach, so this is an indication he could be related to the above Sal Puma who was affiliated with the Howard Beach / Ozone Park Gambinos. This address is also a ways away from the Gravesend address of the Salvatore Puma HK identified as a Genovese member, so he either moved or it's a different guy.
On the FBI's dead list, Felice Puma is listed as a Bonanno (doesn't specify whether member or associate but by all accounts he was just an associate) who died in 1983, so that's an indication there was at some point an FBI file on him. It also lists Joe Puma and a "Sammy Puma" with no other information listed.
Eld, where did you see the bit about a Sam Puma being a Bonanno member? I only saw files ID'ing him as a potential member with family unknown but I could have missed a file.

Thanks, man. Well I can say that the name Puma certainly looks at home on that list whether or not he was a Bonanno.Eld wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2017 7:32 amInteresting find.B. wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 5:53 pm
