Settimo Accardo a possible informant?

In Valachi's book he talks about his friend Dominick Petrilli being labeled an informant by Luciano (who seems to have had a source within the FBN). Petrilli was later killed of course for this reason.

This doc talks about that, but one thing I hadn't read before is that Valachi was also told that Lucchese Newark captain Settimo Accardo was cooperating. This information supposedly came from Luciano as well, but Valachi did not believe it until he heard that Accardo had been arrested and was to be extradited, which could have been a motivating factor for cooperating.

Any reason to believe this was true? Luciano did seem to have the inside scoop on some of these activities.
