The NY families have been involved in quite a bit of prostitution busts over the last few years. The Gambinos seem to be the most involved in this racket.

That seems to have been the case for years in the sex trade in general, ie prostitution, strip clubs, porn, etc

I am sorry can you point out where it states that this is related to the Gambino's or where Rizzi is even connected.

Seems to be the case. Few years ago when the Gambinos got hit with similar charges, Lawrence Taylor was listed as a customer.

But, iirc, the girl may have only been 14.

danny marino's whole crew was pinched for this now sonny's guys..dan and sonny are very close going back to mid 70's..

I thought that traditionally the Mafia, at least the Sicilians, didn't want to be involved in prostitution because they considered it a dirty business below their standards. Am I correct or is this just a myth?

To Lupara's question I don't know about Sicily but as far as the NY families they have been invovled in the sex racket since at least the 60s. Probably even earlier. The Chicago Outfit has been invovled with it since their inception.
