How does bookmaking work?

Post by NE1020 »

Apologies if this is a GBB thread. Im new here so still getting a feel of whats right to post. I was interested if someone might be able to tell me how bookmaking works and what position in the bookmaking ring carries what responsibilities?

After reading some indictments the positions I keep reading are:

Bookmaker
Super Agent
Controller
Agent
Collector

I understand what a collector is, thats obvious, but what are the day-to-day jobs of the other positions?

Any responses would be appreciated.

Thats book making. He's asking about bookmaking. I learned a long time ago the space makes a big difference to the meaning. Even ask Google: you get a different results for book making and bookmaking.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

The definitions are semantics. They're just other words for bookies. Super means you have other bookies under you that you finance. Read the operation heat FBI file in the FBI section. Then come back with questions but that will undeniably be your best lesson. I'm not typing a tutorial but if you have honest and real questions after reading I'll answer if I can.

I wish there was a good book around here. Getting cash from online books is like pulling teeth. I had to submit everything but a birth certificate to get my money out last time.

There are local books in North Carolina. You cant find one? Start one. Yeah 5 dimes is A decent book. I bet there before always paid me which is the main hassle online , I am with bovada and pinnacle , Pinnacle . I heaard of people in new york state getting hassled on cashouts thats why I was asking . Funny how they take your money no problem but want A dna sample to cash out There is A reason they make you jump through hoops its A real pain to process the payments. maybe also to confirm your idenity as well , to make sure your not A fed lol or underage etc.

I won't play offshore. Too many horror stories and hassles. By the time you get paid you're down. So you wind up never taking it out. It's a scam. They make it so much of a hassle you just leave your balance. Smart business model.

maybe but if you withdraw all the time its a hassle for them as well. but u get better odds online IMO . Thats why I am only with bovada and pinnacle both sites pay like clockwork and if a check boucnces do to the payment processor being shutdown they cover any fees you incur. pinnacle has banned us players but it still lets old time customers play via a agents.
There are just as many horror stories of the local books not paying up as well. I been stiffed more locally and had to chase for the money then i ever was online. its a risk where ever u bet
