Out of interest, does anyone on here have any more detailed knowledge on the aftermath of the attempted hit on Costello? Was Luciano still the boss and approve the hit? Why did Costello not take action when the hit failed? Was his position weak in the family so it was the only option he had? Could he just not be bothered with it all and didn't need any target on his back? Anastasia had not yet been killed so that should not have been a factor just yet, albeit moves were presumably already being made on that. If I think about it the hit is actually a pretty disastrous failure so why did Costello not act on that?
Lots of questions but interested if people have more in depth knowledge than is out there on the face of it, thanks!

The fact they attempted to kill him would suggest to me Vito and whoever else was conspiring to kill him didn't expect him to retire soon enough lol
