This wouldn't be totally unheard of. Back in the 80s a lone nut tried to take a shot at John Gotti. His entourage scooped him up and killed him if my memory is correct. Turned out the guy was distantly related to Capo Sonny Ciccone.

The correct spelling for his surname is Comelo, he’s the shooter folks, let’s see if anything comes out regarding motive

The cops have said Camelo is known to them for previous incidents but wouldn't say what they are. Also are still looking into whether this was personal or organised. There is much more to this story than the nutjob angle. Also no weapon found but the vehicle has been recovered and Camelo had multiple residences.

Yes, it’s true that it might be personal. But, the takeaway from the press conference is that LE is still investigating as the motive is unclear. True, it may be over a woman but there’s still too much to this story and unanswered questions.

Also in the press conference it was said that Cali was shot 10 times, not sure how accurate that is, the shooter has lawyered up and will be formally charged in the coming day’s
