Great topic on the early days fellas but could we stick to Chucky Porter in this thread. I started another thread on ethnic neighborhoods of the past on Pittsburgh where all this good information you guys have posted would fit in perfectly.

I read somewhere he gave up information on Cleveland as well. but anyway just A thought , Would POrter JR son/attonery have a copy of his documents? Maybe he wouldnt mind people getting a copy now that he is dead?

I spoke to him at length and he explained to me that his father did not want to rehash his old life and refused to talk on many occasions. They wouldn't even give a statement to the funeral home on the "exact" cause of death. They are a very private family. Chucky had a 1929 Tudor style mansion located at 3999 Old William Penn Highway in Pittsburgh, PA. Check it out on google earth.

He's a top notch criminal lawyer here in pittsburgh. He has been awarded and accepted into a society of what's known as super lawyers which is a hard society to get into. If you can afford a super lawyer here in PA you can pretty much look at getting off of your charges.

He's also law partners with Stephen Zappala. If you're not aware of the Zappala family in Pennsylvania, they are a family who has had federal judges, governors and other high end poiliticians. John Bazzano Sr, who was killed in Brooklyn, NY in 1932 was married to the daughter of the Zappala Patriarch. The Zappala's have always been tied to OC through that relationship.

Correct. But by 1983 after Licavoli, Lonardo, Rockman and the rest of the Cleveland hierarchy being indicted, Pittsburgh assumed control of the Trumbull County operations (Warren/Niles). Tony DelSanter was dead by 1977 and Perfette answered directly to Charlie. Charlie made good with the Cleveland remnants and continued to have Perfette kick up 25% to Peanuts.

Perfette has a small business making homeade sausage, he moved his business to the lower end of South Ave in Youngstown.

Do we know if PItt still split the vending machine rackets with Cleveland after peanuts died? Cleveland guys and murgie stil worked together up until his death. I wonder if that payment keep coming in
