Two indictments here, not just one.
Bond $2 million for Anthony Pipitone, $1.1 million for Polito, $700,000 for Macario, $500,000 for Gabriele, $200,000 for Feuer and $150,000 for Rubino.
“Gambling is legal everywhere in America, except in Brooklyn — if you’re Italian!” Gerald McMahon, defense lawyer for Macario and Polito....
This is cut and pasted from the internet, I don't have any first hand knowledge.

It looks like Rutigliano has been operating out of Florida at least in the early part of 2000. Here is arrest he had in 2005 also involving a politician and undercover fed.

Ok is that different Rutigliano? Because it says 2005. I didn't check the ages but they seem closely aligned. Maybe you can expand besides a one word answerNewyorkempire wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 2:43 pmNo, he wasnt.Tonyd621 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 8:20 am https://www.liherald.com/stories/caught ... crime,9637

Re: Bonanno and Genovese mobsters and L.I. cop busted for racketeering charges in lucrative gambling ring
The Defendants:
JOSEPH MACARIO (also known as “Joe Fish”)
Age: 68
West Islip, New York
Was thinking back to an old Johnny and Gene show episode (lol) where Gene told a story about a Long Island / Queens guy named "Joe DeCario" (sp) who snaked him out of a score, and had owed loanshark money to the Giallanzo crew. He said this guy used to be around the Genovese but was around the Bonnanos at the time and he was eventually "made on Long Island" - this Macario has a similar sounding name, operated in the same locations, and is now a Genovese solider. Half the time these guys get names and details slightly wrong (obviously they don't know the full complete government name spelling of everyone they are dealing with) and it wouldn't be the first time a member/associate thought someone else was with a certain family, and they weren't...
Thinking maybe there's a small chance , just speculating, that this could be the guy Gene was talking about? The age difference between him and Gene and them dealing with one another is a little weird to me, but for that life I guess it's probably common. What does everyone think? Any info on this Macario guy?
Edit - just saw this Macario was working at the Fish Market as young as 36 years old already associated (not made, I believe) with the Genovese family...so my theory above is probably incorrect

Basic offense here is competing with the government in "polluting the community" through gambling. All the rest of the release is political bullshit.
