I believe you, could you please help me find where he said that for reference because I can’t find itConfederate wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 6:07 pmNo, It was actually from Jeff Sallet who headed up the F.B.I. Office in Wiseguy Central Chicago for 2 years & knows 1,000 times more about the Outfit than anyone else on this Forum when asked about the Chicago Mob said "It is on fumes".![]()

As for the mob in Chicago, Sallet said, “It is on fumes.” But organized crime is not off the FBI’s radar.
It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Let’s be honest this isn’t breaking news. The state drove the outfit out of their last money making businesses. They took over the slot machines when they legalized them which was huge for the outfit. Now they got sports. What’s left for these guys? Sure there are still neighborhoods like Chinatown where guys will still bet with their local bookie but it’s becoming less and less. The matassa case and marcello case are not even outfit cases just two old crooks trying to to work a scam that got busted. No evidence of any outfit influence besides their past history. Anyone that believes some websites that say the outfit has a boss underboss consigliere and multiple capos I got a bridge I can sell you. Delaurentis, inendino, D’Amico, pudgy, Pete difronzo, andriacchi are all effectively retired. You have maybe 10 active made guys left on the street would be my guess. Carusos, vena, cataudellas, Marino, ferriola, fratto, not much else out there. The “young guys” are in their 60’sPogo The Clown wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 6:41 pm Here you go.

No one who knew what they were talking about said that about the Bonannos. They were in dissaray, to be sure, but they were never reduced to anything close to nonviable status.
My problem is I hate everybody.

Re: Michael Marcello of Chicago Indicted Today
Things have to be bad for Marcello to be ratting , I mean the guy is ripping off SS for 40grand and he's the brother of Jimmy Marcello . You'd think he'd have some operations in place or with someone ! He seems to just be out there floating around with nowhere to go
Re: Michael Marcello of Chicago Indicted Today
Like I said earlier, I don't think Outfit members would get into any illegal activities with Marcello since he ratted 10 years ago. Would he be on the shelf or would they take away his membership?? That is if he was a member. I don't think anything has ever come out about him being made. I think alot of people assume he was probably made by his brother. Has anything come out about M&M Amusement after the Marcello Bros went to prison?Bklyn21 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 5:53 pm Things have to be bad for Marcello to be ratting , I mean the guy is ripping off SS for 40grand and he's the brother of Jimmy Marcello . Re: Michael Marcello of Chicago Indicted Today
I've heard nothing about M&M amusement ? Zero ! It seems everything out of Chicago has been coming out of Vena's crew , With all the So called eyeballing the Outfit with a Microscope from Jeffrey Sallet there's only minor isolated crap here n thereFrank wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 10:41 pmLike I said earlier, I don't think Outfit members would get into any illegal activities with Marcello since he ratted 10 years ago. I believe that there are some "products" of those same old companies which are still active in Chicago even today and are generally controlled by relatives

Re: Michael Marcello of Chicago Indicted Today
100% Correct. You just basically summarized what some of us have been saying about the status of the Outfit for awhile. "Reports", written by people selling books which give invented titles to a few remaining Outfit guys, are only done to market their product (which is the book).Pete wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:49 pmLet’s be honest this isn’t breaking news.
