What became of Ralph Gigante? Was he a confirmed member? Also there's a Nick Arcuri from Union City, Nj. We know Arcuri is a surname heavy in Jersey, was he connected?
I've never thought about it but searching Boxrec or other Boxing databases for Italian-American Boxers from that time could point to certain connections since the mafia supposedly dominated boxing so much at the time. Probably not and it's a pretty prejudiced way of thinking (i think Primo Carnera for instance is incredibly misrepresented and disrepespected because no one was used to Super Heavyweights at the time) but maybe a few things could shake loose especially if you follow linked newspaper reports and find out their managers.
