Very sad.

I remember that like it was yesterday. But what was more half-assed was his comeback. Ridiculous.

B and G and Arthur Fashions in the neighborhood. Plus Fox's on White Plains Road and Vito's on Hobart were the big four.

it may not be similar to what you and EB are discussing but thats where certain people shop where im from. obviously southern ct is very nyc influenced
How about trips to Yonkers, Bruno? Do you remember Lubin's and Wallach's in Cross County?
They're long gone, but wiseguys (and even regular neighborhood guys) would make the drive up because they both carried the Italian knit shirts, especially Lubin's. Not that it was a big deal. It was only a fifteen-minute drive if you had a car. Those stores are both long gone now, but they had the clothes with the look.
Re Vito's in Pelham Bay: Not sure if you remember him, but the old man died last year.

You've probably seen this before, but here's a media photo of a mutual friend of mine and Bruno's (Joe Sass) back in the '70s. And like I said, I'll email you something more personal as soon as my son is around to help me with the uploads.

Again, my thanks mate.
One thing you have to say about Italians. They have beautiful heads of hair.
Joe Sass was re arrested in 2012/13 for gambling and the papa smurf garbage racket and he looks like he hasn't lost a single lock.
Though I'm sure his back's probably fronting an equally luscious mane

He's sitting next to me and bouncing back and forth between "Gunskoke" and The British Open. He had a full bowl of pasta and peas for lunch with a tomato salad, and he finished the big bottle of Manhattan Special. But the best thing is, he's not fighting me on the medications anymore. Not after what happened last month. He's even drinking three Boost shakes a day. He's gone from 142 to 158 in less than a month. Things are really looking up. But, as always, thanks for asking .
