Updated chart.

I still would like if HK could clarify the discrepancy between Rocco Pellegrino and James Angelina. I was always of the belief that Angelina succeeded Anthony Carfagno and that Matty Fortunaro or Mogavero was Acting for Pellegrino. But I made the changes anyway-

Rosario Mogavero was the acting capo for Rocco Pellegrino. Multiple docs confirm this:
https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... pellegrino
https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... pellegrino
https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... pellegrino
https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... pellegrino
https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... pellegrino

These docs show that Mogavero and Angelino ran two different groups at the same time:
https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... =Angellino
https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... =Angellino

Funzi Tieri succeeded Mike Miranda according to this doc (I think the "acting" part is incorrect and maybe based on old info; Pogo writes that Miranda's crew was split between Tieri and Pete DeFeo [and maybe a couple others], which I agree with):
https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... pellegrino

Gaetano Ricci was a soldier under Joe Adonis and later Jimmy Blue Eyes Alo
Charles Gagliodotto was in Greco's crew
Thomas Eboli was a capo and the acting underboss. Pasquale Eboli was the acting capo of his crew.
It also seems clear from Thomas Greco's file that Salvatore Granello was in his crew.
David Petillo was originally in Miranda's crew; HK found a source that says he later went to Greco's crew

Shit, I made changes based off of what HK sent me (unless I made some mistakes?). Hopefully he can come on here and it can be discussed. These are all names to me and I have no opinion who's crewed up with who except for what I already mentioned.

Incredible stuff to have so much info on crew affiliation for a family that size

In 1965, the DeCarlo tapes indicated Saro Mogavero took over the crew of an old man named "Patsy" who had recently died. We theorized this could have been Patsy Del Duca since he died in 1964. His brother Toddo Del Duca died in 1960, so question is if his brother took over this crew for a time and it was merged with the Pellegrino/Mogavero crew or if there was some other arrangement.

Chart looks great Chris and all those who have contributed.

Would it be helpful (or maybe confusing) to add a section of members like Joseph “Joe Adonis” Doto who were deported? He didn’t die until 1971. I’m not sure what the protocol would be for him belonging to a crew or whether there is any evidence that he still belonged to a specific crew (maybe Vincent Alo since Alo took over his crew).

Sam Franco, 1895-1968 was born in Turkey to Aharon Franco and Garaz Cohen. Are we sure that's right?
Oh dear... That´s most likely the wrong guy. Would had been the first turkish jew ever made in the Mafia.

That´s my understanding that Pellegrino´s crew was based up in the Bronx and Westchester and not Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan. There is a great thread on here (I think it was on Pellegrino or Angellina) done that (if I´m not misremembering) points at Angellina being under Pellegrino. Sorry, but I can not remember the poster´s name. It´s totally blank lol. He´s the poster who made that excellent thread on Jerry Catena. And as B said, DeCarlo tapes indicates it was Saro Mogavero who took over from Patsy Delduca.

Pellegrino was Westchester based but I'm not sure certain Angellina took over or was acting for him. I always heard Mogavero, Antiliar provided the FBI files. I heard or seen that Angellina took over from Carfagno.

I'm still wrapping up the lineages, the crew makeup isn't really my forte but there are some descrepancies/disagreements that will need to be addressed, if we can't accurately crew these guys up, I may have to break the chart up for where people lived like I did with the Gambinos. Would be nice to crew up the soldiers but we work with what we have.

I really don't know too much about the Pellegrino situation, but it has always interested me. He definitely was based in Westchester and it seems that he settled in the area pretty soon after arriving in the United States. However, he for sure oversaw those Lower Manhattan guys for a time and was a frequent visitor to the area. When Mike Clemente was testifying at the New York State Crime Commission in the early 1950s, they asked him something along the lines of "Is it not true that you have been a close intimate friend of Rocco Pellegrino for over 15 years?" Clemente refused to answer the question, but then they further insinuate that that the relationship goes back many years, they all refer to Pellegrino him as the "the old man" etc. They also had phone records that show frequent communication between Pellegrino and Mogavero/Clemente and Pellegrino was a regular visitor at the Local 856 offices, the Black Horse Inn, and a barber shop on Mott Street. The son, Peter Pellegrino, also worked down there for a time.

This recording makes it pretty clear that Saro Mogavero was Rocco Pellegrino's top lieutenant or acting capo. It doesn't rule out that another crew merged with the Pellegrino-Mogavero crew later, but Mogavero definitely succeeded Pellegrino.

I'm not sure if I understand fully. Correct me where I'm wrong.

Anthony Carfano -> James Angelina [BKN based crew, Angelina becomes capo ~1959]

Joe Adonis -> Vincent Alo [BKN/NJ/FL based crew, Alo becomes capo ~1956]

Rocco Pellegrino -> Saro Mogavero [Westchester/BX based crew, Mogavero acted for him for years]

Saro's son was married to Rocco's daughter too. (https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/lo ... =148805398)

I had thought that Funzi Tieri took over the Toddo Del Duca's crew when he passed away in 1960. However, a merger with the Pellegrino crew makes a lot of sense too.
