Another great listen B, the actual structure/organization as well as the politics within the Mafia are imo the most interesting discussions we can have.
What's up with the audio ending mid-sentence though?

Thanks, man. Glad you enjoyed it.
It cut off for me too when I first tested it after posting, but then I tested again and it played all the way through. Just tried it again and it cut off, so maybe some kind of tech issue. Might be an issue with the length.

I agree, just finished it there. A tremendous piece

Amazing detail and write up B.
Re: "Mafia Bloodlines: A Society Unto Themselves" articles
These are fantastic. Any chance for a print compilation in the future?
Re: "Mafia Bloodlines: A Society Unto Themselves" articles
Thanks guys. Greatly appreciate it.
No plans for anything in print right now beyond trying to keep up on new articles and not ramble too much on the audio and repeat myself.
Have some new ideas for articles when I have time. Also happy to rest for a while on the Garofalo crew article that DiLeonardo assisted with -- extremely proud of that one and you won't find a more well-spoken and considerate member from that world willing to offer his memories. Even the haziest, seemingly smallest details he mentions have great substance.

Another great read. This article about John Martino caught my eye.

Excellent timing with them publishing that now -- thanks my friend.Ed wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 3:06 pm Another great read. This article about John Martino caught my eye.

“He mentioned to somebody in my family, and they said to me, ‘Johnny, [Gotti] wants to meet you so bad,’ ” Martino, a nephew of early 20th-century mob icon Charles “Lucky” Luciano, said.
The fact that Gotti was able to reach out to a relative of Martino adds further weight to the Gambino connection mentioned by DiLeonardo.
No idea where the "nephew" of Luciano angle comes in. His father was from Palermo Centro and not sure about the mother. Gaetano Martino did admit to spending a year in Palermo visiting with Luciano, though, so they were close.
