Wasn't their actual status inflated by the FBN and early investigations? Could be wrong.

I don't recall them writing anything about linking Willie Moretti's California relatives to organized crime.

I had it in my head there was a connection to the Sicas for whatever reason.

Whether there was a relation to Moretti or not, what I meant by my first comment was the Sica brothers were made out to have higher status in the mafia than they actually did. Bompensiero pointed out that none of them were members but they operated their own little group that worked with the LA family.
