Joaquin Garcia and the Gambinos

Re: Joaquin Garcia and the Gambinos
Times have changed...I'd say keeping a guy from moving to another state or essentially forcing a guy to be active are a thing of the past if it ever truly existed. I think no longer active is a much better term for a guy like Tore. This isn't the navy.

It's not like they can or will do anything to stop someone from retiring. If a guy says I'm done with the life and I'm moving to Florida or Montana or wherever short of whacking him how do they stop him? If a guy moves away it's not like they are going to send s hit team out to kill for not being active.

I think the Locascio situation is unique because of his alleged wealth.
Most guys I am sure who are made.....don’t go anywhere because they’re too busy making a living.

Yeah he was pulling guys back who had drifted away. But if a guy is bent on not getting involved again there isn't really anything they can do about it. If Donnie Montemarano for example had said he is legit now and not getting involved anymore it is not like the Colombos are going to send a hit team to California to kill him for it. Same if a guy chooses to stay home and watch tv all day instead of hustling in the streets and engaging in crimes.

Hmmm not sure how we know that's true, tend to think they have to get permission, pay there way out etcPogo The Clown wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 9:27 amTommyGambino wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 2:17 am Wasn't andy russo pulling guys back in who were inactive a while back when he was acting boss

Yeah but what will happen to them if they don't? Right now there are informants walking the streets of NY, NJ and Chicago without a worry in the world. If they don't kill rats out in the open will they really go to the trouble of killing a guy who chooses to stay home or moves out of state? If anything I'm sure most guys will welcome it as it is one less person they have to compete with for the ever shrinking rackets pie. Besides I seriously doubt that every old inactive member officially asked for permission to step away. They just gradually became less and less active until one day they weren't. That is usually how it happens.

Re: Joaquin Garcia and the Gambinos
Was Andy really pulling in inactive guys? I had just assumed it was guys like the Colombo brothers crew who were still active but not associating with the Colombo’s any more
Re: Joaquin Garcia and the Gambinos
He wasn't really pulling them in threatening them etc. He just reached out to many wayward members and basically sweet talked them making deals and promises and trying to put back together something that resembled a working viable family and get the money flowing and rackets back up etc. I don't think he had much power to go out and threaten pple to come back or else , I think it was more finesse , Let's make a deal type stuffUncle Pete wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 8:10 pm Was Andy really pulling in inactive guys? Going off topic a lil here , Over on McDonald ave. in BK Gravesend etc . There is alot of Albanian activity , Albanian Social clubs , Cafes, And businesses . I dunno if they've taken over some of the street stuff from Gams and Colombos who were historically notorious in the area as there is definitely Italian mob associates, Or Italians in general at these places at times. I've been around these places in passing and definitely hear people speaking both Italian and albanian

That’s the guy, Adriana. My Uncle Tony. The guy I’m going to hell for.
Re: Joaquin Garcia and the Gambinos
I would figure theres Colombos around that area as there's some Clubs/Cafes that were frequented by Colombos . I just heard a rumor/Street talk BS from an older guy who operates a big Auto parts distributorship whos an ex cop that he supposedly knows Johnny cash Azzarelli and friends of his and said Cash was made recently which I have no idea if true or not ? He also said Dominic Logozzo was also recently made and some kid Mike Pimpinella who is in his early 30s were all inducted recently , This person ex cop says he grew up with John Baudanza and said John is also making alot of moves recently and has a nice following of guys in they're 20s which he calls the Bay Pkwy juniors lol...Again don't quote me on any of this as I have no clue if it's True ?? Just your regular Gossip and street talk for whatever its worthAntComello wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 9:37 amDoes anyone know who from the Colombo’s is still active around Avenue U area?Bklyn21 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 7:24 am Going off topic a lil here , Over on McDonald ave. in BK Gravesend etc .
