There's a couple other groups in Montreal besides the mafia that have that kinda money.

So Scoppa gets hit on the 4th at his son's confirmation reception and then two more successful kill hits Friday night and Sunday night. Sunday night's hit is confirmed as OC related and even though I havent seen that for Fridays hit, there was a burned out car involved and I dont know of any street gangs in Laval burning out cars on their hits...also seems organized although done in a crowded restaurant but when Scoppa gets hit inside a Sheraton in 2019 it kinda seems like all bets are off. Did anyone see anything further about the ethnicity or affiliation of Friday night's victim? I am interested in whether the board thinks these are anti-scoppa faction hits still cleaning house and taking out his crew or counter strike hits from the Scoppa faction? We dont know much for sure yet but it seems like counterstike hits might have been at more high profile targets if against the Rizzutos or allied factions..

I think the Rizzuto-Sollecito group is yet again trying to consolidate their hold on Montreal now that momentum has shifted to their advantage. They had some luck to lick their wounds and bide their time for a counter attack just as they had in 2011-12. If they win this, I think the dust will finally settle and it will be business as usual. There can only be so many enemies and resistance and the "Sicilian" group seems to be the most resilient.

That 600 million euros, which never actually materialized beyond the planning stages, could have come from several sources in addition to Rizzuto. Show me something concrete that actually shows that worth and I'll believe it.
