On this forum a picture of Zappola was posted and he looked overweight, nothing as to how he looked before.
Obviously he could have lost that weight but Pennisi has commented that he has never met Zappola so it’s difficult to say if it is George

Pennisi said that Zappola is now the head of the Brooklyn Faction.He said this when commenting about Patty no longer being the Underboss.I think Frankie Bones Papagni will take the position but it makes sense for Zappola to take it.

IIRC he didn't turn it down, he wasn't able to take it as he was on paper.

I agree - Patty does look younger and more put together so to speak. But I obviously can't make a determination on how these guys function in a day to day world. Also, Patty is rumored to be sick - so that could be a possibility and cancer treatment does age a person.

Mikey had the seat ready for him after he got of paper but he wasn’t interested in taking it because he was content in Jersey though now he is heading the Brooklyn Faction
