Also, I don't think that Ferrara ordered the hit on Limoli. Based on what I read at some point, he was furious at Patsy Barone for pulling the trigger. Another associate, Walter Jordan, later recanted his testimony that Ferrara had ordered the hit but the prosector, Auerhahn(?) never shared the information. That is what got him out of jail after 16 years.

I think that there is very little doubt that if the chips fell in another direction, that Ferrara and/or JR Russo could have been boss.

This is untrue . Limoli was about 15 years younger than ferrara they were not child hood besties
