Wasn’t Borgesi (from prison) trying to shake down Maniscalco. I wouldn’t put anything past that lunatic Borgesi. I would lean mafia related. Most people were paying up to the mob and this stubborn guy just refused. Very disrespectful.

I agree Tommy Hill murder wasn't coming from downtown. He didn't say anything on joey or those guys. Maniscalco on the other hand was mafia. If you think a small gang of drug dealers (they were from 23rd street) who was killing him because of a drug debt then that's crazy. He was getting bet into because he wasn't paying protection to Georgie and them. They finally killed him when they lost and he still wouldn't pay. If Maniscalco thought he was going to get killed over some random gambler not paying a debt and was wearing a kevlar vest around because of it then don't you think he'd just cut bait and tell them to forget the debt and move on and just stop taking their action. Hit was professional, smart and well thought out. Rocco had a big operation and it was right in their backyard in south philly. On top of the book and shy he had all kinda stuff going on in his garage tow truck scams and he insurance scams. Phil Sessa was one of his main guys... He's paying now after what happened to Rocco!!

State Police busted Phil Sessa right after Rocco got hit. Probably a squeeze tactic to get info. LOL Guy had Steroids hidden in Christmas Stockings.

No way drug dealing gang banging shines pulled off that Maniacalco hit in that neighborhood. I tend to agree it was the Philly guys. The Philly guys have always also been big into auto collision shop scams as well. Not pointing any fingers but for example both Borgesi brothers got their start working with auto body shops (not saying they did it just giving examples of Philly guys who were in auto body shops). You also have that clown Ronnie the Wig and his auto body shop. I’ve also heard Maniscalco had a big Sportsbook and loanshark operation as well as auto collision scams.

Another example of the Philly guys fucking with auto body shops is that Ronnie the Wig allegedly put the holes in the van at his auto body shop that the Merlino guys used when they shot up Stanfa and his son in the 1990s on the highway during rush hour commute.

Yeah Georgie was leaning on him from prison... if you ask me the Rocco hit was 100 percent mob related... like other people were saying... if some drug dealers beat him on a large bet, you would just eat it... yeah it sucks but just taking it on the chin would have stopped any bad blood for any of those guys to clip him... bookies get beat all the time.. and almost never worth it to make it a big issue, you just cut them off and don’t take their action anymore... also whoever did it had good inside info, or were keeping close tabs on him.. cause his wife said he wore a vest literally everyday for months.. then when it got warm outside he got tired of it and basically said if they get me, then they get me.. and literally not very long after that he gets shot in the back a bunch of times???? And the hit was flawless... there’s 0 leads leading to description of the shooter/shooters, no info on a getaway car... literally nothing.... I think it had to be mob guys sending a message to any other bookmakers or guys doing shit on their making them think twice when it comes to kicking up...

David Salvo is literally working his restaurant in the kitchen everyday actually doing the grunt end of cooking and food prep in the kitchen that 99.9% of the restraunts around here farm out to the Mexican cooks/ food preps.

I took my Mother to David’s restaurant Saltwater for Mother’s Day and he was there in the kitchen working his balls off cooking on a Sunday, Mother’s Day. Dave came out from the kitchen on a break and talked to me and my Mother for awhile, nice guy. I don’t know anything at all about the other Salvo brother Christian. Dave is a really great cook that puts hours upon hours into his restaurant.

Saltwater actually finally got a liquor license this summer, which was great. It was BYOB previously.

If any of you guys go there, the gnocchi is to absolutely fucking die for. I heard the pizza is good too but I’ve still never ordered it cuz I always end up gettin the same Gnocchi dish in a blush sauce with Crab, Bangin’! Saltwater is a great restaurant.... End of my rant
