Rat, there were small cliques of only several guys, then there were large well organized gangs run by the likes of a Lansky, Siegel, Nig Rosen, Lepke Buchalter (Top Guy), Longy Zwillman (very powerful NJ boss), etc... the same in Philly, and other states as well. But nonetheless, none had the staying power of the Italian mob, for reasons I stated above (and many more reasons not specified).

From what I read, the article you posted shows that the FBI busted a small organized crime group which hosted poker games at one location, and was involved in drug dealing. The group “cast a shadow of violence” over the Chinese-dominated neighbourhoods of Brooklyn that it operated in.
