Ridiculous that ON A PLEA he’s sentenced to DOUBLE the recommended guidelines.

A plea he should’ve got around the recommended, otherwise what’s the point.

That's the risk you take, he aint the first guy to get nailed in a plea. Giallanzo is no boy scout either, this guy and his crew were really throwing their weight around up there.

I’m no fan of Ronnie G, but if judges start handing out overs on plea’s it disincentivises people plea bargaining and saving the government the time, expense and possibility of loss at trial.
A plea MUST offer incentive over trial.

If he lost at trial he could have gotten 30+, he still didn't make out too bad. With time already served and if he does if time quietly he'll be out in 10 years. Not a walk in the park, but better than what he would have been dealt with if he lost at trial.

That's for his plea, no? At trial he wouldn't have had those guidelines, I assume. And attempted murder/murder conspiracy carries a lot of weight - a lot more than seven years worth of weight. Then you combine all the other crimes - extortion, loansharking, racketeering conspiracy. He could've easily gotten 20 years.
