Wheres the mafia ref?

There's no direct reference, it's just that the info was given to MobTalk Sitdown specifically (as opposed to general news) and has to do with "South Philly." Those two elements combined suggest that this might be Philly Cosa Nostra related.

It's more I'm seeing smoke than actual fire. Get what I mean? I cheerfully admit I might be reading too much into those details.

And since he referenced mobtalksitdown he will come out with a podcast/video of the arrest if he gets the details to turn it into a story.
