The article to which I’ve linked below is probably making the rounds this morning wherever Italian organized crime in Montreal is discussed online. I know of the article because someone on Gangster BB posted.
Andrew Scoppa aurait été chef intérimaire de la mafia
Comme l'article est en Français je pose ma question en Français ... Les initiales "SQ" ça veut dire Sureté Quebec ?
The initials stand for Sûreté du Québec, the police force for the province of Quebec.
I am not fluent in French--speaking, writing--although I'm working on the former. I am able to understand most of what I read in French if I read slowly. Anything I read that I'm not sure of, I try to ascertain the meaning by looking up words, using online translation, and then refining to come up with a better understanding.
I will never be fluent in French, though, try as I might.

OK no worries. At worst if you need help to translate I can help you . For the initials I saw after the meaning but the time to reread the article I could no longer delete my post. Thank you for taking the trouble to answer anyway! (I have the opposite problem of you I'm not sure that my English is perfect lol)

Francesco Del Balso moved to Québec City. According to the article, he is trying to impose to some pizzeria the ill-famous tax (pizzo) to owners. But the latters did not fear Del Balso and alerted Québec police.
