Do we know when Joseph Cusimano died? Thanks.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Correction - Angelo Mannino and Ignazio Mannino were brothers. Ignazio died in 1957. Angelo in 1975. Both were made. Angelo´s son (Samuel John, born in 1922) also made by 1963.HairyKnuckles wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 11:58 pm Pogo, Cusimano died in 1995.

Now I´m getting confused (lol). B, was Angelo´s other son Ignazio made? Did Ignazio die young?HairyKnuckles wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 1:35 amCorrection - Angelo Mannino and Ignazio Mannino were brothers. Ignazio died in 1957. Angelo in 1975. Both were made. B, never mind. Found out that Ignazio Mannino, the son of Angelo and the brother of Samuel, died young (Nov 29, 1957). He was only 32. So he shouldn´t be on your chart CC. Bill Feather´s chart is fucking way off! He has one Ignazio Mannino born in 1889 listed.HairyKnuckles wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 1:59 amNow I´m getting confused (lol). Re: Gambino 1960's Chart (in progress)
Theres knowledge to be gained from the dead. I'll keep him but indicate that he was deceased. Five years isn't a big deal. For that matter, any other members who died in the previous 5 years could also be added. If it gets to be too large of a number I'll make a deceased members section.HairyKnuckles wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 2:07 amB, never mind. Bill father does have mistakes but his charts are a good starting point and I'm amazed at the amount of info he looked up. Were doing this for the Gambinos, he did the entire fucking USA in 3 different eras. I've also made mistakes and errors as we can see in this page. I'm glad I have you guys proofreading this.
Re: Gambino 1960's Chart (in progress)
Yeah, Bill did a ton of work to put that together and it's convenient for cross-referencing. Just have to double-check the names with your own research.
With the Mannino father+sons, makes you wonder if there were other early guys from Torretta who got generalized as being from "Palermo". Lilo Garofalo's documents all say "Palermo" but his birth record is in Carini. During one of Antonino Grillo's US visits he arrived to a Francesco Zito in Brooklyn and the best match I found was from Torretta. Could well be more history to it before the famous Gambino brothers from Torretta arrived. We know Passo di Rigano goes way back.

Corrected the Giardinas, indicated the deaths of Crisalli and Rego, that's the correct Mannino above and his address was the same as his son's in Queens.
That aside, anything else for Brooklyn?

Re: Gambino 1960's Chart (in progress)
Can you go over the captains and let me know if tthis section is done?
The two exceptions are the deceased Castellano captain and the Franco, whose family was from Naro, Agrigento. Any further help there would be valued.

Looks great! However, two corrections:Chris Christie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 11:29 am Can you go over the captains and let me know if tthis section is done?

- I think Silesi resided permantly in Florida at this time. The address you have is the former one.
- Zingaro is JOSEPH Zingaro. John was his father.
I started to look from the top and down and saw the picture you have for Antonino Conte. I thought "Waow!, Chris found a picture of this guy!" but realized it´s just a temporary image. lol
The chart looks great!

Re: Gambino 1960's Chart (in progress)
Silesi split time between Manhattan and Florida going back to the 1950s so could go either way. He was one of the main Miami guys by this time for sure.
CC -- you found the captain Joe Franco was from Naro? I think the ones related to the Arcuris might be from there, as they had ties to Naro (the business agent of their union was apparently from there) but I don't think the former Lombardozzi captain is related. The Brooklyn captain was close to Anastasia and the Baltimore Calabrians, then Gentile talked about "Joe Di Franco" who he said was a Calabrian so I thought that might be him but not sure. Doesn't seem to be a connection between him and the Arcuri crew but maybe you've found something.

I was thinking there was a relation, if you're saying there isn't I trust your insight. I also wondered about Joe Di Franco too, Gentile did make name mistakes at times.
