To be fair how much of it has been confirmed? The issue with much of Scott's reporting is it's not been confirmed either way and in some cases it sounds silly. A few things have been wrong. Is Pennisi giving out scoops like prime Capeci or is he just saying things that sounds more reasonable than Scott which also aren't being confirmed either way?

Plenty. He broke the news of Zappola being the Jersey captain years ago and the acting boss seat being warm for him when he's ready. He's ID'd new members that have been made after he left the life. Just like after Capeci broke something and Scott would have an article out about it. A lot of piggybacking.

Guys like pennisi, cicale, Jr Calabrese in Chicago, etc, still absolutely have plenty of contacts and ears to the street, even with made guys. I’m not sure people who aren’t from these areas realize how gossipy these Italian men are. It’s like golden girls but with fat greaseballs.
