I'm currently reading Deal with the Devil and it says that Gus Farace was Greg Scarpa Sr.'s nephew, is that true?

Is there any confirmation if Buddy Dellacroce was made or not. I thought I read a CI report that Greg Scarpa has identified him as a made member. Buddy is shown in a lot of 1979 Ravenite surveillance footage

What cartel did Chris Ronsenberg steal Coke from in 1978? The Cali or Medellin cartel?

I’m pretty sure a Colombian Cartel was behind those guys, they dominated the market during that time. I think they were just intermediaries.

You may be right. I don’t know the particulars. I just know the aftermath

. Yeah it would have been crazy. I remember in War Against the Mafia Montiglio saying that he was the middle man between the Gambinos and the Cubans because he knew Pedro Rodriguez(Paz). Not sure if it’s true because Montiglio can be sketchy but he said the Cubans were ready to go to war but the Demeo crew killed Chris and everything else was forgotten

Yeah Nino Gaggi pressured Roy DeMeo to kill his protege Chris, also to make sure the kill made it to the papers so that they can see & make sure it’s true. I think Roy became an even more psychotic individual after that murder.

It's weird that someone as psychopathic as Roy DeMeo seemed to genuinely care about Rosenberg.

I'm currently reading a book about organized crime in Montreal in the 1970s and it's about Fecarotta with a heroin deal with some guys over there (Guido Orsini & Santo Mendolia). The author (Jean-Pierre Charbonneau) says he worked in Detroit. Is he really from Detroit before coming to Chicago, or is it a mistake by the author?

Does anyone has any info regarding this claim?

Which years was Greg Scarpa Sr. a captain? I remember someone saying that he was an official captain from 1960 to 1963 and an acting captain from 1982 to 1984, but does anyone know if that's been confirmed 100%?
