I don't believe legalized sports betting hurts the bookie very much. The only official books that will open will be your casino books. You will see a lot of guys who don't have a connection to a bookie or who wouldn't bet with a bookie because of the legality issue going in to play semi-regularly. Guys who drop a couple grand in Vegas and bitch about their bad luck but might spread that out if a book was closer and more socially acceptable. I don't see a bunch of action already going to local books switching to a state run sports book so people can pay tax on their winnings, just more people placing bets.

I can only say this from reading cuz I don’t know him from anyone or anything..cheech knows of which he speaks..I only have one question for ya, 3 to 5 dollar a guy?we need to talk?haha ..seriously he’s right on..and Rocco not insulting when he says real players , he’s right at day’s end, a guy who plays for keeps, and believe there are plenty of guys that can bet sharp for decades, they realize giving up that extra 10 to 15 percent in taxes will crush them, no one can keep winning at 80 percent clip..also keep in mind , buying half points etc, that 10 percent to guys who bet 3 to 5 plays a nite can take them outta the box real quick
