Well there isnt a lot on him only what pennisi says… i think he was with the gambinos before Pennisi went to jail in 1990, and then when he got locked up he was hooked with the west side. Johnny Santore’s case is one of those situations where a guy didn’t get made because he got locked up at the wrong time. I think when he gets out in the early 2000s he dies so he never gets his button

I’m his latest video Pennisi mentioned that brothers who are made members are not allowed to be in the same crew, he seemed to imply this was a rule with the Lucchese family only. Thought this was interesting.

I think he was just referencing that because that is what it said in the photo he posted of them. I don't think he has a clue of what's going on currently. He's more concerned with telling us which one of the Castellucis farted during a making ceremony dinner and how it was a major sign of disrespect and he never thought that the mob would sink that low

Those surveillance photographs of the 2015 Bonanno christmas party don't have anyone's ranks listed, it's just their names. The only other place I've seen Contello publicly identified as an official captain was in a VOSR report filed against Anthony Pipitone in 2016 in reference to his attendance at various Bonanno meetings the prior year, including the mentioned Christmas party. So either Pennisi has read that one court document or he was made aware, during his time in the street, that Contello and Sabella (at least at that point) were Bonanno captains.
