That restaurant in Branford is owned by a guy that was convicted in early 2010s with the CT Gambinos. Any you sleuths can find who it is? Hint: the restaraunt is called Doma
Is that the same location where there was a prior restaurant where the chef from Delmonaco's went when John closed that? Delmonaco's was my absolute favorite place bar none.
not sure if its the same place. I don't go to Branford much. I used to go to Delmonico's when it was in new haven back in the day. there was also a place called Amalfi grille down new haven I liked and interestingly enough I bought that guys house years later unbeknownst to us when we bought it.

I wonder if any gambling charges will come of this and why they couldn't mention organinzed crime

Typically, if they don't mention LCN in the indictment it's because it's not necessary to prove the guilt of the defendants and mentioning of LCN could be construed as giving the jurors a bias. That's why in some of these cases, the government settles on withholding mention of LCN during the trial. It's still an illegal organization (gambling org) so they can still charge it under RICO, but they don't have to mention LCN to gain a conviction. In other cases which involves illegal activity within an organized LCN hierarchy (associate>soldier>capo>admin), they are much more likely to push the LCN narrative.

Right, but both sides have to have known that an LCN tie existed for it even to be an issue.

Looks like the Doma building just sold. 2 rental units above the restaurant on the second floor. I ate there last year while visiting family. Great food.
