I apologize, I didn't know Anthony Donato was Little Anthony also. Makes more sense as its known he was close to Bssciano.

Seccafico and Pipitone were both nicknamed Little Anthony but Pipitone wasn't from the Bronx

Didn't they figure out big Lou was wired up. Wanna say basciano had his guys doing counter surveillance and she the fbi watching there dinner meetings. They told Lou go back to Florida
Re: Louie Tartaglione highlights from recorded conversations
Was Seccafico in a Bronx based crew? I thought he was based in Staten Island as he was killed there on the way to work? I think he was aligned with Montagna which is why people might think he was a “Bronx guy”

Yeah one of the transgressions was apparently bringing Patty DeFilippo a cheap suit to wear to court...

Re: Louie Tartaglione highlights from recorded conversations
Wasnt it that coupled with the DeFilippo fuck up and something like skimming money to give to the wives of incarcerated members or sleeping with them? I think it was a host of things...who would've given the order at the time? Mancuso is my guessMason_dixon wrote: ↑Tue Sep 20, 2022 7:52 pmDo you remember why exactly secaffico got whacked? Re: Louie Tartaglione highlights from recorded conversations
Capeci in a article not too long ago said Peter Lovaglio provided information about the Seccafico hit. Seems nothing came about it

Since I brought it up, I thought I better go through the Gang Land archives to give a fuller picture of Capeci’s reporting on Vernace’s position:
Capeci first refers to Vernace as the consigliere in July 2011, writing that despite the fact the indictment from earlier in the year lists Joseph Corozzo as consigliere and Vernace a captain on the ruling panel, “sources” tell him that Vernace is the current consigliere. He also mentions that Vernace’s arrest was what prompted the family to elevate Domenico Cefalu to the position of acting boss.
Capeci then continues to refer to Vernace as the current consigliere and Corozzo as the former consigliere throughout the rest of 2011 and 2012. He stops doing this for the first half of 2013, referring to Vernace either as a captain, former member of the panel, or simply as a mobster. Capeci resumes referring to Vernace as the consigliere in August 2013. However, from 2014 on, most mentions of Vernace in articles only refer to him very vaguely as a wiseguy or a mobster. Vernace is referred to as consigliere once more in October 2014, and after that the next reference to him by rank is from January 2017 and he’s described as a captain.
When Vernace died, Capeci wrote an article describing him as a wiseguy who rose “to the rank of family consigliere by the time of his arrest”. Vernace isn’t brought up again in a Gang Land article until March of this year, where he is mentioned in passing and referred to again as the consigliere.

My personal belief is Bobby Vernace was consigliere under Dom Cefalu...its common knowledge they were tight, but that's just my opinion...chin_gigante wrote: ↑Wed Sep 21, 2022 3:00 pm Since I brought it up, I thought I better go through the Gang Land archives to give a fuller picture of Capeci’s reporting on Vernace’s position:
