Here’s a member: Joseph Leone

- He’s on a 1963 member list as a Colombo. (https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... PageId=111)

- He was described as a Colombo soldier and enforcer for Salvatore Profaci in a 1983 senate report (https://books.google.ca/books?id=q9D5L0 ... ne&f=false)

- He was born in Newark in 1919. Here’s his census information (https://www.ancestry.ca/discoveryui-con ... 13956:2442)

If he was a member at this time, he probably was in the Lombardino crew.

Here's a possible member: Nicholas J. Marino

- He's listed as a possible Colombo member in Newark (https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... PageId=126)

- I think this is his census information (https://www.ancestry.ca/discoveryui-con ... 84108:2442). It's a common name, but this is the only Nicholas J. Marino who would be the right age.

Here’s an interesting wedding:

Image

05-AUG-1946
————-

- Salvatore Cannella — Father of the Bride — was a Colombo member

- Madeline Misuraca — Maid of Honor — was the daughter of Colombo member John Misuraca

- Rosario Lombardino — Usher — was a Colombo member, though probably not at the time.

- Dominick Marra — Father of the Flower Girls — (if I found the right one) was also an old-time Newark criminal.

Some info on Rosario Nastasi:

Rosario Nastasi
@"Black Sam"
DOB: 3/20/1912
POB: Manhattan, New York
Father: Rosario "Samuel/Sam" Nastasi(Unk, Italy)
Mother: Rose Sparcia(Unk, Italy)
Wife: Sarah McKay
Occupation: Laborer(1950 census)
Address: 929 60th Street, Brooklyn.

I haven't been able to track down where his parents came from.

I want to point out that this Rosario Nastasi is not the brother in law of Salvatore Bianco, the Colombo member who was killed in 1945. Bianco did have a brother in law named Rosario Nastasi, but Black Sam's death index entry and his marriage certificate confirm that he is not the brother of Bianco's wife.

Their 1911 marriage record has the parents as Rosario Nastasi and Rosa Sparacio. States that Rosario's parents were Rosario Nastasi and Maria Carcione. This matches a couple in Mirto, Messina, so I think that was probably it. Rosa's parents were given as Filippo Sparacio and Pietra Ferrara. My hunch is that they were from Prizzi, but that's just an educated guess (bunch of other intermarried Sparacio/Ferraras in NYC from Prizzi).

Not sure if this helps, but J.D. made a post about Colombo deaths while the books were closed:

Was Cristoforo Robino ever a confirmed Colombo member? He's listed on that page

If JD has him listed, then he probably was.

Here’s a possible member: Joseph Licari

He’s on several membership lists as a Colombo (https://www.maryferrell.org/showDoc.htm ... PageId=111)

————

However, he’s named as a Lucchese member by Bob Buccino. He could have been mixing him up with another Licari, like Andrew or his relatives.

The made members in North Jersey were Lenny and Vito Pizzolato, Joseph Licari, Hams, and Legs Dolasco.”

He was born in 1928 in CT and lived at 140 E. Sylvan Ave, Newark, NJ (https://www.ancestry.ca/discoveryui-con ... 9856:62308)
