I’m surprised He didn’t have any run-ins with the Philly family back then. You would think they wouldn’t have been happy with him operating in the area since Joey hates him.NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 8:57 am Nicky Jr had a crew running around the Atlantic City Area from the time he first moved back to the area to live in Ventnor after he got out of prison for the early 2000s gambling pinch and then leading up to right before the First Plus Bust, this has been discussed before - guys like his cousin John Parisi, Sammy Piccolo, Todd Stark, The Scamster Rat AP, and Pelullo were in it.
They were running around AC , trying to take over the rackets in the area. That whole crew, I think Anastasia even reported on it.
It happened as My buddies who were bar/nightclub bouncers in the AC Area during that time period told me stories , it didn’t last long though as they all got indicted in the FirstPlus indictment that went down…

Re: Scarfo Jr. as a Lucchese member
Well Nicky Jr got lucky as Joey was going to eventually hit him……
Nicky Jr had a restaurant in Ventnor when he first came back to the AC Area and Joey was sending guys to case him and get a read on his day to day activities to hit Nicky Jr.
The only thing that stopped it was Joey and his crew getting indicted in the late 90s.
What I don’t understand was how the rat AP and Sammy Piccolo got transferred to Philly after Nicky Jr went away as they were in Nicky Jr’s AC Crew.
What I am thinking is that Philly LCN wanted to get a foothold back into the AC Area rackets that bad they took in their enemy’s guys. I am only guessing this from the indictment that AP brought onto the Philly guys when he went bad and from Stevie’s little Pep Talk that jerkoff AP recorded….

Re: Scarfo Jr. as a Lucchese member
Part of the complaint Ligambi was making to the Gambino Family is that Philly associates were poached by the Lucchese Family. Those guys Scarfo Jr. inducted got their start as Philly associates so that's who he must have been referring to.
We know for sure now the Scarfos were trying to recruit Joe Grande, Lou Fazzini, and Ciancaglini Jr. My question is what their plan was if they successfully built a support base. Were they going to install new Philly leaders and rule by proxy or did they think Scarfo Jr. could arrange a transfer to officially take over? Scarfo Sr. is a rules guy so I've wondered if he had a plan since there's no way they could take over by brute force.
The timing of the Scarfos' move makes sense when you consider many core Merlino faction guys were still in prison and a bunch of Scarfo era guys were about to get out of prison. They may have been planning to build a support base in Philly with an expectation that some of the Scarfo guys would fall in with them upon release. Joe Grande proves it was possible even if unlikely.

Scarfo Sr sent him to north jersey under the protection of Patty Specs who assigned George Fresolone to watch over Nicky jr like a body guard. The north Jersey crew was the last bastion of the Scarfo crime family.

True. they should beef that crew up, get guys that are associates in L crew, Gambinos, WEst Side and make them into n jersey faction o f philly

For a guy who talks about the Mafia constantly, have you ever been to New York City? Or America? Or do you just sit in London reading BB and Blackhand and pretending?
In America we call people like you POSERS.
God save The QUEEN!

Yes 1st the North Jersey Philly Crew. Then he went away for Bookmaking when he was living in Bloomfield or Belleville etc. Feds got his laptop it was in the papers the papers... But he was doing some gambling biz with Merola who was a Gambino associate at the time. When he was made he was put in the Newark Lucchese crew( lets just call it what is is The Morris County crew lol)newera_212 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 5:51 am Didn't he get 'sent' up North and integrated himself with Philly's North Jersey/Newark crew first, and basically got acclimated to the North Jersey scene before transferring to or getting made with the Luccheses? IIRC he was involved in Bookmaking up there, because it was during some bust a long time ago where they said Scarfo Jr. was using PGP encryption on Bookmaking records - which is pretty awesome
Re: Scarfo Jr. as a Lucchese member
You are right. He had the restaurant in Ventnor. He told Leonetti who came to visit him there that Stevie Mazzone was sending guys to shake him down for $$. And I think that is the only reason Piccolo was transferred because Mazzone is on tape saying he wanted to take AC shake everyone down. etc.NJShore4Life wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 6:39 pm Well Nicky Jr got lucky as Joey was going to eventually hit him……

That “Newark” Lucchese crew is actually the East Hanover Crew lol , every single one of them operates out of there.Rocco wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 8:51 amYes 1st the North Jersey Philly Crew.
