Here’s the story... I was told this right when it happened and everyone gave me a ton of shit about it, then a while later capeci wrote about it and confirmed it..
so as far as I know, al was trying to shake down mike roc’s brother, mike roc’s dad got wind of it and got the word back to Bobby vernace.. vernace confronted al... I’m sure they argued, vernace bitch slaps al and shelved him.

Also al fell out of favor around the same time with jo jo... al disagreed with jojos son (the lawyer) about defense strategy when they were all fighting the case... Al said some disrespectful shit to Jojos son, which jojo took as disrespect towards him, and also wanted al shelved... not a good position to be in at that time. Having jojo and Bobby hating you..

I thought Al and Roccaforte were close. Frank Roccaforte was with Ronnie One Arm wasnt he?

I think trucchio and roc were best friends and he tried to shake down his brother lol

What a scumbag, I actually thought that Al Trucchio was gonna go higher than his dad & actually be a powerhouse of influence in that family, maybe even get an administration spot later on? If he really did that, he’s a scumbag.

My guess, as long as Cefalu and the Sicilians are in power Trucchio most likely will remain on the shelf. Cefalu and Vernace were apparently good friends, Cefalu attended his sisters wake with JoJo Corozzo. If the reports of Al disrespecting Vernace and getting slapped are true, I dont see him getting off any time soon but who knows just my opinion.

And let’s not forget ,, made guys also are the ones who put hits out on other made made.. being a boss or administration. Member is a made man.. so..
And anyways al knew better than to retaliate on vernace... he knew the position and power he held and he didn’t want any beef, plus al was in the wrong ... who the fuck tries to shake down their best friend brother?? Al got what he deserved.

Was Vernace serving prison time in the mid 80s to 90s? I wonder because he wasnt made until '98.
