He was probably bullshiting. It took casso & chin to decide to attack the Gotti’s guys less than a year but it took someone that has 19 confessed murder under his belt 4 years? Doesn’t add up.

Not that unusual. Gigante and Casso plotted Gotti's death in early 1986 and they were still plotting it into 1988 when Manna was cought on tape talking about it. They were probably still thinking about it up till Gotti was imprisoned. It is not like in the movies. It is hard to kill a boss of a rival family who is always surrounded by his people and under constant surveillance by LE.

What I dont get is dosnt some of the info say Amuso was made boss in the later 1986 time period. Doesnt that throw off the timeline of what happened earlier. So was it Carollo that approved the Castallano hit? Or is that not correct at all and Amuso was boss at the time of the hit?

Corallo made Amuso the new boss in October/ November 1986, months after the DeCicco hit. Corallo and Gigante approved the bombing that killed DeCicco and gave the contract to Amuso and Casso. Amuso was a captain at that time and Casso was a soldier.
